Designing the LES

Eric Steffen
October, 2024

I started making bespoke jeans a decade ago. I started making bespoke shirts half a decade ago. So I thought it was high time to drop my first ready-to-wear shirt.

What better place to start than a tried and true staple - the LES Indigo Selvedge Chambray Shirt.

Drops Thursday 10/24 @10AM EST

Named after the Lower East Side, because it's unpretentious and always draws New Yorker's back to it, this shirt is sure to make it's way into your rotation again and again.

Made from a beautiful 6oz, bright indigo selvedge chambray from Japan, it features numerous selvedge detials and hidden front pocket buttons, inspired by the 1960s era USMC P56 button down.

USMC P-56 Shirt

The pure brass buttons are made and crafted locally in Connecticut, and they're hidden under the pocket flaps and collar to hold both in place throughout the day.

Handcrafted right here in Brooklyn, the LES Indigo Chambray strikes the perfect balance between style, comfort, and durability.

Whether layered or worn on its own, this piece adds a refined, timeless edge to your wardrobe. It’s not just a shirt—it’s a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Thanks for reading, and for supporting local makers.

Best,
Eric
