Eric’s alteration service is anything but routine. He began by asking me to show him the jeans I already loved and to describe the fit and look I hoped to achieve. From there, he carefully examined the jeans I wanted altered and walked me through the basics of their construction—a kind of Denim 101 that gave me enough knowledge to understand the choices in front of us. Rather than simply telling me what should be done, Eric took the time to explain how each alteration would affect the fit, proportion, and overall character of the jeans. That foundation made it much easier for me to understand the reasoning behind his recommendations and to make thoughtful decisions with confidence.
The entire process felt collaborative, patient, and deeply considered. Eric was not merely altering a garment; he was helping me understand how it was made, what was possible, and how to preserve what I loved while moving closer to the look I wanted.
