What should you expect when you commission a bespoke pair of jeans, shirt or jacket from FITTED Underground?
First, that we're going to stand beside you throughout the entire process. We know bespoke is knew for a lot of people. It was new for us when we started making jeans in 2014. So questions aren't only welcome, they're necessary.
Furthermore, we believe bespoke jeans have value as an expression of our craft and your creativity fused together. We want to bring your vision to life, and have a great time together doing it together.
Some people love handbags. We love jeans. With over a decade of experience crafting bespoke denim, our goal is to make your jeans come true.
3 steps to your perfect pair
Our bespoke process
1 - Fit
We start with your body.
Come to our workshop in Williamsburg to get fitted, or, if you're further afield, use our mail-in service. An in person fitting takes about 30 minutes, and for a remote fitting we're happy to jump on a video call to review your current fit.
During the fitting, we'll discuss your preferences, how you wear jeans day-to-day, and what you want this pair to do. Casual? Dressed up? This conversation shapes the way forward.
First-time clients often say the fitting is their favorite part of the process.
2 - Fabric
Choose your fabric.
Then you'll select your fabric. Review our fabrics online on our Fabric Library, or feel them for yourself in person at our denim bar.
The majority of our fabric is raw selvedge denim from Japan, that is filled with character and known for its fade potential. But we also have premium Japanese stretch denim, khaki twill, corduroy, canvas and many more fabrics to choose from.
This is where your personal style begins to shine through, and where you get to express your creative eye during the bespoke process.
3 - Finish
Pulling it all together.
Finally, you’ll select the finish. From thread color to the hardware featured on your jeans, to your pocket details, every detail matters.
Prefer a more refined, minimalist look? Skip the back patch. Want something built to evolve with wear? Choose natural vegetable-tanned leather that will patina into a rich caramel brown over time.
These subtle design choices are what make the jeans truly your own, and where we partner with you to bring out your best design instincts.

- We offer an expedited services where jeans can be completed within 1-2 weeks for an additional fee
- We'll create a profile and save your measurements to make reordering easy
