Amar’e Stoudemire, former NBA All-Star and long-time client, recently stopped by the FITTED workshop with an exciting vision for a bespoke denim jacket. At 6’11” and back in the gym, ensuring the fit for Amar’e presented a challenge, but also an exciting opportunity.
After some collaboration, we landed on a Lee Storm Rider-inspired jacket style, and we incorporated thread colors reminiscent of his time as a New York Knick. To complete the look, we created matching bespoke denim jeans. The fabric of choice? A green cast, slubby 15oz White Oak Denim (available here), a durable and classic material that speaks to Amar’e’s strong sense of style and values. I always love when clients choose raw denim, though pre-distressed is more in the market.

Imagine my surprise and excitement when Amar’e wore this denim combination to the Knicks vs. Pacers Eastern Conference Finals game, including on Carmelo Anthony's 7PM in Brooklyn podcast. It’s moments like this that make what I do so exciting—seeing a garment we crafted in my workshop come alive on such a prominent stage.
What made the experience even more special was Amar’e tagging FITTED in his Instagram post showcasing the look. Many celebrities I’ve worked with don’t take that extra step, so his thoughtful gesture meant the world to me. It’s a reminder of how much impact supporting small brands can have.
So a big thank you to Amar'e, for trusting me to bring his vision to life and for shining a spotlight on FITTED. You’ve helped a growing brand stand out in a big way.
