1 Minute Jeans

It took me years to become great at making a pair of jeans. Let's distill that down to 1 minute. Here's a pair of D11 Summer Selvedge I made.

Making jeans is one part science, one part art.

With guitar, tone is in the fingers. Same thing with sewing. There's a muscle memory I didn't even know I had until I started teaching others how to do it.

It's like anything, really. You just do it again and again, and eventually a deeper wisdom takes over. But there's no replacing practice and there's no shortcut to mastery. Even if you have a great teacher, until you've made the mistake you haven't learned the lesson.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes! Just fall forward, until you don't need to fall anymore.
